Maxwell Anderson, a 2-year-old boy, tragically lost his life after being discovered in the Clinton River near his home in Harrison Township, Michigan.

On the morning of June 16, deputies responded to a report of a missing child last seen at his residence on Manse Street.

Around 11:30 a.m., the toddler was found approximately 50 feet from his home in the river, where the water depth was estimated at five feet.

Deputies administered emergency care before rushing Maxwell to the hospital, but he was later pronounced dead.

The Macomb County Sheriff’s Office expressed heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of the young child.

An investigation into the circumstances of the incident remains open, with no additional details released at this time.
