Fatal Pequea Township crash death of Patricia Wenzel

Patricia Wenzel, a 79-year-old woman from Lancaster city, died following a two-vehicle accident that took place Monday in Pequea Township.

According to the Lancaster County Coroner’s Office, Wenzel succumbed to multiple traumatic injuries at Lancaster General Hospital after the crash occurred in the 400 block of Long Lane, near Cherry Hill Orchards. Her death has been classified as accidental.

Authorities reported that Wenzel had been riding in a Subaru Outback when it collided with a Ford Explorer. The 78-year-old man driving the Subaru was taken to the hospital, while the Ford Explorer’s driver escaped injury.

Pequea Township police are continuing to investigate the incident and have not released any updates as of Friday. The name of the Subaru driver has not yet been disclosed.
