Fatal DeKalb County shooting death of Roderick Crowley

Police in DeKalb County responded to a report of a shooting late Thursday morning, where they discovered 48-year-old Roderick Crowley suffering from gunshot injuries on Loveless Drive near Bouldercrest Road.

Officers arrived at the scene shortly before 11:30 a.m. and confirmed that Crowley had been fatally wounded. After conducting a search of the area, law enforcement officers located the suspect hiding in a wooded area nearby and took him into custody.

The individual arrested was identified as 29-year-old Michael Crowley, the nephew of the deceased. Authorities have charged him with murder, and he is currently being held at the DeKalb County Jail.

At this time, police have not released any details regarding the motive behind the shooting.
