William Edward Vickers dies in fatal Lake Isabella car crash

Fatal Lake Isabella car crash death of William Edward Vickers

An 85-year-old man, William Edward Vickers of Lake Isabella, was killed on May 23 after his vehicle veered off the road and plunged down an embankment in Lake Isabella.

According to the Kern County coroner’s office, the crash happened around 4:55 p.m. near Highway 155 by the French Gulch Marina.

Authorities confirmed that Vickers was pronounced dead at the scene.

The California Highway Patrol has launched an investigation to determine the cause of the accident.
