SILVERTON, Ore. – A significant collision occurred on Friday afternoon, resulting in the death of motorcyclist KENNETH JENCK, according to local law enforcement.

The incident, involving a motorcycle and a truck, happened shortly after 4:45 p.m. near the 8000 block of Mt. Angel Highway, just outside the city limits of Silverton. KENETH JENCK, a 51-year-old resident of Gladstone, passed away at the scene.

Investigating authorities from the Marion County Sheriff’s Office confirmed KENITH JENCK’s identity. The driver of the involved truck, identified as a 39-year-old man from Salem, suffered minor injuries and remained at the scene. He is currently cooperating with the ongoing investigation.

Traffic was halted for approximately three hours while the Marion County CRASH Team, along with numerous partner agencies, gathered crucial evidence at the accident site. These agencies included the Marion County district attorney’s office, Mt. Angel Fire District, Marion County Public Works, the Marion County Medical Examiner’s Office, and the Silverton Police Department. The comprehensive investigation into the fatal collision is set to continue.
