Fatal White Bear Lake drowning death of Beverly Rodriguez
Authorities have identified the woman who drowned in White Bear Lake on Sunday as 40-year-old Beverly Rodriguez, a sergeant with the Metro Transit Police Department.
The incident occurred around 4:30 p.m. when Rodriguez jumped off a pontoon boat into the lake and did not resurface. Bystanders attempted to locate her before emergency responders arrived.
The Washington County Sheriff’s Office and the White Bear Lake Police Department responded to the scene. Divers recovered Rodriguez’s body approximately 30 minutes after the initial call. The incident is under investigation, and authorities have not yet determined the cause of death.
