A fire that erupted in a garage on the Far South Side of Chicago early Saturday morning has claimed the life of 61-year-old Felipe Magallanes, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office. The incident occurred in the 10900 block of South Buffalo Avenue, located in the city’s East Side neighborhood.
Firefighters responded to the scene where they discovered Magallanes in critical condition. Despite efforts to save him, officials later confirmed that he succumbed to injuries sustained during the blaze.
