The Hamilton County Coroner’s Office has officially identified the man who died in Saturday’s Carthage car crash. He is 49-year-old Kevin Sellars, from Cincinnati.

Cincinnati Police had initially reported the incident as a serious injury crash occurring on North Bend Road at 9:25 p.m. However, upon arrival, officers found the driver, now identified as Sellars, unconscious in a 2000 Toyota 4Runner.

The vehicle had veered off the road after losing control while heading east on West North Bend Road. Police stated the driver struck a curb before hitting an unknown object. Sellars was transported to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, where his death was later confirmed.

It remains unclear from the investigation whether a seatbelt was worn during the incident. The authorities are currently exploring potential factors including excessive speed and impairment as contributing causes for this tragic accident.
