A fatal collision involving a single vehicle resulted in one fatality, authorities confirmed Friday evening. The incident occurred on southbound Sunrise Boulevard near Gold Country Boulevard in Rancho Cordova.
The Rancho Cordova Police Department issued a social media alert regarding the accident, advising motorists to utilize an alternate route as the roadway was closed. The spokesperson for the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office, Sgt. Amar Gandhi, provided confirmation that an adult female had died following a “solo vehicle crash into a tree.”
The Sacramento County Coroner’s Office identified the deceased woman as Meagan Kathleen Danielski, a 59-year-old resident of Rancho Cordova.
