Despite the unfortunate turn of events, authorities reported only one serious injury at the Chicago ‘Playpen’ during the weekend’s boating activities.

Water safety experts are urging caution, emphasizing that Lake Michigan requires treatment with the same respect as the ocean. Captain Brady Ruel from Boat Safe Chicago attributes recent accidents to increased boat traffic, inexperience, and high winds creating hazardous conditions.
