Fatal Barren County, Kentucky car crash death of James Deichmueller
A man identified as James Deichmueller has died following a car accident in Barren County. The incident occurred on Monday afternoon on Veterans Outer Loop. According to initial reports, 82-year-old Deichmueller from North Carolina was driving a 2017 Nissan Rogue southbound and reportedly failed to yield to a traffic signal. This resulted in a collision with a 2019 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Charles Davis. Deichmueller was taken to a nearby hospital but succumbed to his injuries. The Barren County Sheriff’s Office requested state police assistance, and the ongoing investigation is being led by Detective Bo Hubbard. First responders included local emergency services.
