Victory Chinwendu Osuji, a 22-year-old from Richmond, Texas, is the victim identified by the Pueblo County Coroner following a suspected drowning event at Lake Pueblo State Park.

On Thursday, authorities initiated an underwater search at the park after receiving a report around 7:15 p.m. concerning a potential drowning incident.
An extensive grid search was undertaken, and the Marine Evidence Recovery Team was deployed, utilizing advanced sonar technology and specialized underwater drones to aid in the recovery.
The investigation revealed that a witness observed a person, without a life jacket, flipping off an inflatable tube and submerging beneath the surface shortly after 7 p.m. Thursday.
Crews successfully located and retrieved the body from the lake on Friday morning, bringing an end to the underwater search.
Paramedics pronounced Ms. Osuji deceased at the scene immediately following the recovery.
