The Fresno Police Department is actively seeking the suspect responsible for the city’s eleventh homicide, which occurred on Sunday, June 22, 2025.
Responding to a welfare check call, officers found a 46-year-old man lying injured on the ground in an alley located near the intersection of North Glenn Avenue and East Voorman Avenue.
The victim, later identified by police on Tuesday as Elias Santiago-Pedro, sustained significant blunt force trauma to his upper body.
Santiago-Pedro was transported to Community Regional Medical Center where his injuries were ultimately fatal.
Investigators believe Santiago-Pedro was walking in the alley when he was violently attacked.
Homicide detectives are conducting a thorough canvass of the surrounding neighborhood, soliciting information from residents and asking for any available video surveillance footage from the vicinity that night.
