Fairfield police have officially identified the moped operator who lost their life in a hit-and-run collision that took place over the weekend. The deceased is recognized as Juan Otilio Tista Tista, a 25-year-old man from Bridgeport.
The unfortunate accident transpired on Post Road, situated near South Benson Road, during the evening hours of Saturday at approximately 9:30 p.m. According to police reports, responding officers apprehended the car driver involved in the incident, who subsequently fled the scene. However, the identity of this individual has not yet been disclosed. Tragically, Juan Otilio Tista Tista did not survive his injuries and passed away at a regional medical facility.
