A young motorcyclist has lost their life in a tragic collision on Louisiana Route 92, authorities stated. The incident occurred near Maurice on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, when the rider failed to comply with a traffic signal and struck a pickup truck at the intersection with LA 343.
Investigators confirmed that Noah Ducote, a 19-year-old from Port Barre, was operating a 2003 Suzuki motorcycle and did not stop at a stop sign. The pickup, a 2021 Dodge Ram towing a trailer, was attempting to turn left onto LA 343 at the time of the impact. Ducote, who was protected by a DOT-approved helmet, was pronounced deceased at the scene, while the truck’s driver suffered no injuries.
The Louisiana State Police are examining the crash, and preliminary findings indicate no signs of impairment were present for either driver. A breath test administered to the truck operator revealed no detectable alcohol, and blood samples were taken from Ducote for further analysis as part of standard protocol for fatal highway accidents.
An eyewitness reported that the motorcycle may have proceeded through a red light, but this claim has not been verified by investigators.
