Christian Javan Latimore, a 37-year-old Honolulu man, has died following a confrontation with police on Sunday near Sand Island. Latimore was shot by police after allegedly pointing a shotgun at officers who were attempting to resolve a 7-hour barricade situation on a nearby boat. The Honolulu Police Department reported that Latimore was struck in the cheek during the incident.
