A young man has died after being thrown from his vehicle in a serious accident. The Georgia State Patrol reported responding to a crash involving an ejection on Lanier Road in Tattnall County early Wednesday morning. The driver, identified as Galin Salem, 26, lost control of his Lincoln MKZ sedan as it traveled east on SR 292. He reportedly veered off the road, hitting the south embankment and causing the car to overturn violently. Salem was ejected from the vehicle during the rollover. The heavily damaged sedan subsequently landed on top of its driver. Emergency responders arrived quickly at the scene but were unable to save the young man who succumbed to his injuries immediately. The investigation into the cause of the loss of control is currently underway by the Georgia State Patrol. The roadway was reopened to traffic following the incident. The community is mourning the sudden loss of Galin Salem.
