New York State Police officials announced today that an investigation is underway following a fatal work-related incident in the Town of Somers. The victim is Jonathan Chavez Jaramillo, a 31-year-old man from Ossining.
According to preliminary findings, Mr. Chavez Jaramillo was employed by a landscaping company contracted to perform tree removal services on a private property. Tragically, he was struck by a falling tree branch while working at the site.
Emergency responders from the Somers Fire Department arrived promptly at the scene and provided immediate medical attention to the injured worker. Despite their efforts, Mr. Chavez Jaramillo was transported to a nearby hospital where he later passed away due to his injuries.
