Fatal I-70, Clayton shooting/car. crash death of Lavan Stark
The westbound lanes of Interstates 70 were finally reopened after a severe collision transpired near mile marker 22, just beyond Arlington Road, in the westbound direction, which happened around 2:30 p.m. Wednesday afternoon.
According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol Dayton Post, a Buick LeSabre attempted to turn left from the right lane of I-70 into the emergency vehicle crossover in the center median. During this maneuver, the Buick was hit by a semi truck. Subsequently, the semi truck collided with the trailer of another semi truck.
The driver of the Buick, who was identified as Lavan Stark, a 29-year-old, sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by Brookville Fire and EMS. The crash is currently under investigation by the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Westbound lanes had been closed for several hours and were reopened around 5 p.m.
