Lourdes Del Carmen Nunez Burgos dies in fatal Hot Springs Village shooting
Fatal Hot Springs Village homicide involving Lourdes Del Carmen Nunez Burgos.
The Hot Springs Village Police Department disclosed today that Lourdes Del Carmen Nunez Burgos, deceased in an earlier homicide incident, was expecting a child.
Law enforcement confirmed yesterday that a man was observed fleeing the vicinity of Nacozari Lane, shouting at residents, leading to a pursuit. This individual, identified as Stephen Gantz, a 54-year-old, was eventually apprehended near his own property on Nacozari Lane after evading a police traffic stop attempt.
Upon entering the residence, officers located a lifeless body inside. The victim was identified as Lourdes Del Carmen Nunez Burgos, aged 42, originally from Paraguay. Police further informed that Burgos was confirmed to be pregnant at the moment she lost her life.
Stephen Gantz faces charges of first-degree murder and evading law enforcement. The ongoing investigation continues to gather more information.
