Fatal Phoenix pedestrian crash death of Nicholas Chris Davidson
Nicholas Chris Davidson, a 34-year-old man, lost his life in a tragic pedestrian collision in central Phoenix.
Davidson, who was crossing through a marked crosswalk at the intersection of 18th Street and Osborn Road near the SR‑51 overpass, was struck by a vehicle late on Tuesday night, police report.
Emergency responders found Davidson near the crash site and rushed him to the hospital, but he did not survive his injuries.
The driver involved remained at the scene and cooperated fully with investigators. Authorities have indicated that impairment is not believed to be a factor.
Phoenix police detectives are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the fatal collision. Charging decisions will be determined once their work concludes.
