Tragic demise follows pedestrian impact by motor vehicle in the Phoenix region.
The individual, identified as 34-year-old Nicholas Chris Davidson, lost their life following a vehicle collision in central Phoenix on Tuesday evening.
Phoenix (AZFAMILY) — Tragically, a man died after being struck by a vehicle late Tuesday night in central Phoenix.
Law enforcement responded to the incident near the intersection of 18th Street and Osborn Road, just east of the SR-51 overpass. Upon arrival, officers discovered an individual who had been hit by a vehicle.
Emergency medical services transported the injured man to the hospital, where he unfortunately passed away. The deceased was later confirmed to be 34-year-old Nicholas Chris Davidson.
Preliminary investigation indicates that Davidson was crossing the road within a designated crosswalk when he was struck by the vehicle.
The driver involved remained at the scene and assisted with the ongoing investigation. There is no indication impairment was a contributing factor in this accident.
Definitive charges will be determined after the completion of the detective-led investigation.
