Payton Dixon III dies in fatal Frederick County hit-and-run

Fatal Frederick County hit-and-run death of Payton Dixon III

Payton Dixon III, 29, of Winchester, lost his life in a hit-and-run incident on June 23, 2025, on Front Royal Pike in Frederick County, Virginia.

According to the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office, Dixon had exited his vehicle at a red light near Maranto Manor Drive when he was confronted by Michael Jackson, who was reportedly from Alexandria. Witnesses stated Jackson also exited his vehicle, displayed a firearm, and punched Dixon, causing him to fall to the ground.

At that moment, a third vehicle approached and struck Dixon, pinning him between two cars. The driver of the striking vehicle was identified as 30-year-old Jacques Blemur of Front Royal.

Investigators determined that all parties were familiar with each other and had a history of unresolved disputes. After the incident, both Jackson and Blemur fled the scene and were considered dangerous by authorities.

Both suspects were later apprehended without incident in Charles Town, West Virginia. The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the fatal encounter remains ongoing.
