Fatal Ringwood crash death of Thomas Manston
An inquest has formally commenced following the death of Thomas Manston, a 26-year-old man from Ringwood, who succumbed to injuries sustained when his bicycle was struck by a motor vehicle on the A31 road. The fatal collision occurred on the Saturday, June 14th.
The official investigation into Mr. Manston’s death began on Wednesday, June 25th, presided over by the area coroner, Rosamund Rhodes-Kemp, at the designated Winchester Coroners’ Court. According to the court proceedings, Mr. Manston was riding his bicycle onto the westbound section of the A31 slip road when he was struck by the other car.
Mr. Manston did not survive the incident and passed away at the accident scene. Preliminary findings indicated that the cause of death was a combination of severe multiple injuries sustained in the crash.
Expressing profound sympathies to the family, Ms. Rhodes-Kemp scheduled the continuation of the inquest for August 26th, 2026.
