Investigators have confirmed the identity of a man discovered lifeless at a well-known eatery in Black Mountain. The individual, identified as William Edward Waldrop, was 64 years old and was found unresponsive at the location on Highway 9. On the day of the discovery, emergency personnel were dispatched to the scene and pronounced the man deceased. State authorities were brought in to examine the site further. A subsequent examination by the local medical office indicated that Waldrop’s passing was probably due to a combination of health issues he had been dealing with.
