Fatal Newton-le-Willows car crash death of Jonathan Mennell
A person has been formally accused following a fatal road incident. His companion did not survive.
The 35-year-old man, known as Jonathan Mennell, lost his life after the silver Ford Kuga he was inside crashed into a large tree.
This happened on Southworth Road near Newton-le-Willows on the 10th day of June in 2024, according to information released by the local law enforcement agency.
The man currently facing legal action, whose name is Martin Green, also faces a separate charge related to not participating in initial examinations.
This 36-year-old man, who resides at Beech Avenue in Wigan, made an appearance in the Liverpool Magistrates’ Court on Friday.
He is expected to appear before a higher court, specifically the Liverpool Crown Court, on the 25th of July.
