Fatal Oxnard alcohol poisoning death of Oscar Omar Hernandez.

New information has emerged regarding the death of a thirteen-year-old Sun Valley resident who authorities suspect was killed by his soccer coach. The incident occurred in Southern California.

Oscar Omar Hernandez, a teenager from the Sun Valley area, succumbed to acute alcohol poisoning, as confirmed by the Ventura County Medical Examiner’s office.

Hernandez’s body was discovered alongside a roadway in Oxnard sometime during the early part of this year.

According to reports, the young man boarded a Metrolink train bound for the Lancaster region to assist a soccer coach at a training facility there. After he failed to return home that evening, his family became concerned and began searching for him. They subsequently reported him as missing.

The investigation now centers on his accuser, a forty-three-year-old man named Mario Garcia Aquino, who faces charges of murder along with the special circumstance of murder occurring during lewd acts involving a minor. In May, a related story from Los Angeles revealed that a backlog in the district attorney’s office might have prevented charges from being filed against Garcia Aquino for two separate alleged sexual assaults.
