Salvador Ramirez dies in fatal Anaheim shooting

Fatal Anaheim shooting death of Salvador Ramirez

Orange County sheriff’s deputies are seeking out a suspect following the fatal shooting of a security guard outside a sports bar in Anaheim over the weekend. Salvador Ramirez, identified as the victim, was performing his security duties.

Investigators continue their search for the individual responsible after the incident occurred just before 1 a.m. on the morning of June 22 outside the 99 Bottles & Cocktails venue in unincorporated Anaheim. This is the location where Ramirez, aged 48, was carrying out his security duties for the bar.

The venue remained closed on Sunday, June 22, citing “unforeseen circumstances” as the reason. The business profiled on Instagram also launched a fundraising effort to assist Ramirez’s family. This initiative has successfully collected over five thousand dollars to date.

The fundraising page describes Ramirez as a valued member of the bar’s community. He leaves behind his wife and their five children, all of whom are affected by this tragic loss.

A supporter’s statement regarding the GoFundMe page notes, “Sal was more than just a protector — he demonstrated deep love, selflessness, and warmth. His considerable heart made him accommodating and helpful to everyone. At work, he was recognized for caring for female patrons, defending his colleagues, and ensuring everyone felt secure. Regulars cherished him, his coworkers held him in high regard, and anyone who encountered him quickly recognized his genuine kindness.”

The Orange County Sheriff’s Department is still pursuing this investigation to identify the shooter. No detailed description of the suspect has been released by authorities.

Members of the public are encouraged to provide any information about the shooting incident. Tips can be directed to the Orange County Sheriff’s Department using their phone number or online reporting systems. Anonymous tips are also accepted through the OC Crime Stoppers program.

The story draws information from the Orange County Sheriff’s Department press release and the GoFundMe campaign created to support the Ramirez family.
