The driver of the leading motorcycle died immediately at the scene. The other motorcyclist, who was transported to an area hospital, later succumbed to their injuries. The Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the deceased motorcyclist as Sarah Gudeman, who was 24 years old.

The scene remained closed for several hours as the Illinois State Police conducted a thorough investigation to determine the cause of the crash. The other driver involved in the accident has not yet been identified.
