Fatal Cook County crash death of Sarah Gudeman
Two motorcyclists died in a fatal collision on Illinois Route 394 in Cook County, Illinois, authorities reported Friday night. The incident occurred just north of Dyer Road in the Glenwood area. The Illinois State Police confirmed the deaths.
The fatal accident happened at approximately 9:50 p.m. on Friday. The two motorcyclists were traveling northbound on the road, with one vehicle following directly behind the other. According to the Illinois State Police, the motorcycle behind collided with the one ahead.
The driver of the leading motorcycle died immediately at the scene. The other motorcyclist, who was transported to an area hospital, later succumbed to their injuries. The Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the deceased motorcyclist as Sarah Gudeman, who was 24 years old.
The scene remained closed for several hours as the Illinois State Police conducted a thorough investigation to determine the cause of the crash. The other driver involved in the accident has not yet been identified.
At this time, the specific reason for the rear-end collision remains unknown to investigators.
