Bremen authorities have not secured any arrests more than a week following the homicide investigation. The case involves multiple jurisdictions, and the victim’s family addressed the public.
The victim, identified as TJ Ware, was shot at the Red Rose Inn in Bremen and two individuals escaped the scene. A subsequent police pursuit occurred in Villa Rica.
Law enforcement officials stated that TJ Ware had reservations at the Red Rose Inn on June 17. After the fatal incident, two people fled the motel complex and were apprehended in Villa Rica. Both suspects suffered injuries from gunfire and received medical attention at an Atlanta-area hospital.
TJ Ware’s aunt characterized him as “an exceptionally amiable person” and recounted her emotional reaction upon receiving the news. She mentioned losing composure upon learning about his shooting. She emphasized Ware’s gentle nature and calm disposition.
Ware’s life was tragically cut short during a shooting event in Bremen. According to authorities, two suspects were involved and a police chase unfolded in Villa Rica, a location more than fifteen miles distant. A witness in Villa Rica reported seeing numerous police vehicles and ambulances at the scene. Law enforcement attempted to stop a speeding car, leading to a pursuit that culminated in the city. The two individuals sustained gunshot wounds and were transferred to Bremen police custody. Charges related to the chase will be pursued by the Villa Rica authorities independently.
The victim’s aunt conveyed confidence in the ongoing investigation while acknowledging the profound grief of the loss. She also shared reflections on her nephew’s promising future aspirations, including the possibility of establishing his own business, an ambition he shared with his father in their family lawn care enterprise.
Bremen Police released an official statement but did not identify any suspects or secure charges. The department is coordinating with the Haralson County District Attorney’s Office and other involved agencies. They issued a statement assuring the community there is no immediate threat and that the victim’s family has been regularly updated by investigators. The department requested continued community support and prayers during this challenging period and noted that a comprehensive case report will be released once the investigation is sufficiently concluded.
