Fatal Milan car crash death of Alex Naseef
The local coroner has officially confirmed the identity of the person killed in a one-vehicle accident that took place in Milan over the weekend. Brian Gustafson, representing Rock Island County, stepped forward to identify the deceased.
This 30-year-old resident of Milan, Alex Naseef, lost his life directly after his truck drove into a body of water. The circumstances leading to his death were tied to the vehicle collision, and further examination is planned.
Officials from the coroner’s office have stated that a detailed autopsy will be carried out on Tuesday to determine the exact reasons for the fatality.
The authorities are currently looking into the incident, with the Rock Island County Accident Reconstruction team, county investigators, and the coroner’s office all involved in the probe.
Deputies reported receiving information about the accident on Sunday at around 1:21 p.m., specifically in the early part of Big Island Road, in the 2500 block area.
When the responding officers arrived, they observed a white pickup truck that had ended up in a pond.
Emergency personnel attempted to pull out Naseef, but their efforts were unsuccessful, and he was later confirmed dead at the scene by the deputies.
A female passenger was fortunate enough to get away and is currently safe, though her health condition remains a mystery.
