The Austin Police Department has officially identified the individual killed in Saturday’s accident in North Austin as 63-year-old Edward Walker. The pedestrian fatality occurred when two motor vehicles collided with him.
This morning, June 28th, 2025, at approximately 12:30 a.m., law enforcement personnel arrived at the 13000 block of N IH35 NB SVRD to investigate a multiple vehicle incident. According to the department’s report, a pickup truck made initial contact with Walker, moments later being struck by a sedan. Emergency medical services pronounced Mr. Walker deceased at the scene.
Both operators of the involved motor vehicles were uninjured and remained present to assist with the ongoing investigation. This incident marks the 48th fatality on Austin’s roads in 2025, contributing to the city’s total death toll this year reaching 52.
