**Endy Moniz dies in fatal stabbing in Strathroy**
A man identified as Endy Moniz, age 27, was pronounced dead at the scene after being found with serious injuries in Strathroy, Ontario. Police have arrested a 27-year-old local man for first-degree murder in connection with the incident.
Family members and colleagues recall Mr. Moniz as a committed father and worker. Emergency services were dispatched to Ashby Crescent around 5 p.m. following reports of a medical emergency. Upon arrival, officers encountered a male with severe wounds outside a house. Despite attempts to save the man, he later lost his life.
Travis Datema, a former colleague at Cuddy Farms, described Mr. Moniz as a diligent worker and father who possessed a cheerful demeanor. “He was a hard working, devoted father who always carried a smile and made jokes to lighten the mood,” Datema shared.
Beyond his employment with Cuddy Farms, Mr. Moniz operated a personal landscaping business, Moniz Lawn Care and Snow Removal. His professional activities extended beyond working at the farm.
Following an initial probe, law enforcement took a young man from Strathroy into custody on charges of first-degree murder. The investigation remains active with multiple agencies involved. The Strathroy-Caradoc police are spearheading the case with support from the Ontario Provincial Police and other organizations.
Investigators have confirmed that there is no current threat to the general public’s safety. However, the probe continues. Citizens are urged to reach out to authorities or Crime Stoppers if they have any relevant information.
