Fatal Sutherland car crash death of Jade Torres

The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office reported that the sequence began on April 14th, when they received reports of an accident at the location of North Prairie Trace Road and West Snake Road, situated north of Sutherland.

Investigators were informed that the female passenger, confirmed as 22-year-old Jade Torres from Sutherland, had passed away.
Sheriff Jerome Kramer explained that evidence gathered at the crash site suggested the 2014 Ford Explorer was moving southbound at an excessive speed.
The vehicle left the roadway, striking the railroad tracks and becoming airborne. After landing, it was hit again by the tracks, propelling it into the air a second time.
A massive cottonwood tree subsequently fell onto the roof of the Explorer, severely crushing the passenger area.

His subsequent court date has been scheduled for July 3rd at 9:00 a.m.
