Law enforcement confirmed the identity of the motorcyclist who lost their life in a collision in East Greenwich last week.
Officials arrived at the South County Trail area, close to Dave’s Marketplace, shortly after 10 p.m. on Friday.
According to initial reports, the motorcyclist, identified as John Simeonie, a 52-year-old resident of Cranston, was transported to Kent Hospital and pronounced deceased upon arrival.
Further details regarding the circumstances of the incident are still being examined by authorities. Simeonie was observed wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.
Investigators have not yet determined the cause of the crash, though early findings indicate that alcohol was not a contributing factor.
