Fatal Jasper County, S.C. car crash death of Mark Long
Sunday afternoon witnessed a deadly head-on collision involving two automobiles on US 17, with the South Carolina Highway Patrol (SCHP) currently examining the incident.
According to the SCHP, this crash took place shortly before 3 p.m. on Sunday close to the junction with Telfair Plantation Drive.
The operator of a 2012 Ford Mustang lost their life in this accident, having collided head-on with a 2016 Ford F-150. The Jasper County Coroner’s Office confirmed that the deceased is Mark Long, a 61-year-old resident of Stone Mountain, Georgia.
The operator of the F-150 was taken to a nearby medical facility to receive treatment for their wounds. Both individuals in the vehicles were the sole occupants.
