A 68-year-old man from Palmdale, David Beal, was confirmed as the pedestrian involved in a fatal hit-and-run incident in Acton last month.
Officials have identified David Beal, who was struck and killed by an unknown driver on Sierra Highway in Acton during the prior month.
On the early morning of Sunday, June 22, at approximately 12:49 a.m., Beal was seen crossing the street against the direction of traffic on Sierra Highway, just west of the Vincent Grade Metrolink Station access point in Acton.
Based on the findings of investigators, an eastbound driver collided with Beal, resulting in his death, and then drove away from the scene. It has not been determined whether drugs or alcohol played a role in the accident.
