Emily Pike dies in fatal Globe attack

Fatal Globe homicide death of Emily Pike

The official reason for Emily Pike’s passing has been officially disclosed. Questions concerning the circumstances surrounding the loss of life persist despite the revelation of the cause.

Investigators from the Pinal County Medical Examiner’s office have determined that Pike, a 14-year-old member of the San Carlos Apache community, succumbed to injuries resulting from “homicidal violence involving force to the head.”

Her body was discovered in a state of dismemberment near a major roadway in Globe back in February.

The investigation revealed that Pike absconded from a residential facility in Mesa during the month of January. Authorities have yet to make any arrests in connection with this tragic incident.

According to reports, she exited through a window from her sleeping area on multiple previous occasions. The last confirmed sighting of the teenager was near a local park, and there were no immediate indicators of her presence at a frequented gathering spot.

By mid-February, law enforcement received information suggesting her remains were located on a nearby Indian reservation. Subsequently, remains were found close to a highway and confirmed to belong to Pike, prompting the initiation of a murder probe.

Gila County officials are spearheading the ongoing investigation. The monetary incentive for information offering crucial leads is now set at a higher amount.
