A tragic motor vehicle accident in Beaver Falls on Sunday afternoon led to the deaths of two individuals, Matthew Robert Lance, 25, and Sheylee Lynn Young Davis, 23. Their automobile was involved in a collision with a pickup truck, resulting in the fatality. The incident transpired around 3:20 p.m. on 7th Avenue, close to the area where it intersects with 11th Street.
Eyewitnesses reported that the pickup truck was proceeding northbound on 7th Avenue when it collided with a car that was making a turn. Following the impact, the struck vehicle lost control, crossed into the opposite lane, collided with several trees and sign structures, and eventually halted against a nearby structure. Medical professionals transported Matthew Robert Lance, who was operating the car, to a hospital, but he passed away due to his injuries. Tragically, the passenger, Sheylee Lynn Young Davis, also succumbed to the effects of the collision.
Another individual was unfortunate enough to become entrapped under the damaged pickup truck. Emergency services conveyed this person to a medical facility for evaluation, but details regarding their condition remain undisclosed.
The operator of the pickup truck, identified as Israel Tun Cooch, aged 45 and a resident of Cranberry Township, was transported via air to a hospital in the Pittsburgh region for medical treatment. Law enforcement authorities have initiated charges against him, including vehicular homicide while driving under the influence, along with other related allegations.
