Fatal York County stabbing death of Stanley Fears
The identity of the deceased from a Tuesday homicide in York County has been released by the York County Coroner.
York authorities were dispatched to a homicide scene early Tuesday morning, June 24. The West York Borough Police responded to a disturbance call in the 1400 block of West Market Street.
Emergency responders pronounced Stanley Fears, a 62-year-old resident, deceased at approximately 3:10 a.m. following the incident. The victim sustained a fatal chest wound from an assault at his residence.
An autopsy examination took place at Lehigh Valley Hospital, with the official determination confirming the stabbing as the cause of death.
His son, Ahdoneeyah Fears, age 18, was apprehended by law enforcement and subsequently charged with homicide related to the stabbing incident.
The West York Borough Chief of Police, Matt Millsaps, reported that the fatal altercation began with an argument between the two individuals before the stabbing occurred.
