Fatal McDonough car crash death of Ty’leal Glaser
The Georgia State Patrol is seeking public assistance in identifying the driver responsible for a fatal hit-and-run collision that occurred in McDonough on Saturday, June 21st. The incident resulted in the death of 16-year-old Ty’leal Glaser from Hampton.
According to reports, the fatal accident happened between 9:45 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. on Georgia Route 81, located east of Sons Drive. Initial investigations indicate that Ty’leal Glaser was crossing GA 81 from a driveway at an intersection that lacked a designated crosswalk when the suspect vehicle struck him, ultimately causing his death.
Law enforcement officials, including the Georgia State Patrol and local McDonough police, state that the suspect’s automobile is a Toyota RAV-4. The vehicle sustained damage to its left headlight and potentially other marks on the driver’s side. Following the collision, the vehicle fled the scene, leaving behind debris including a broken headlight.
Evidence collected at the scene, particularly the debris, enabled the Georgia State Patrol’s reconstruction team to identify the make and model of the suspect’s vehicle. As part of the ongoing investigation, authorities are reviewing surveillance footage from the area on the night of the incident.
