A probe into homicide is now active following the discovery of a man deceased due to gunshot in Scotlandville. The incident transpired around 3:15 p.m. on Monday, specifically in the 9900 block of Avenue J and Woodpecker Street. Upon responding to the scene, police encountered the body in a parking area adjacent to a residential community. The authorities confirmed the identity of the deceased through family connections, revealing that he was 22 years old and employed at Amazon. His mother, Victoria London, shared her sorrow, emphasizing that her child was a kind-hearted individual who posed no issues to others.
Investigating officers have apprehended three people in connection with the case. According to the victim’s mother, two of these individuals visited her home just hours earlier. She further stated that these suspects allegedly retrieved her son from their residence, setting him up for the incident. Additionally, a Honda Accord was transported away from the location, but law enforcement has not yet established its direct involvement in the killing. Detectives are seeking public assistance, particularly from the neighborhood, to provide any available security camera footage that could aid in solving the matter.
