Police investigations, supported by the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force, identified 18-year-old Jaiden Trone and two minors as the individuals responsible for the incident. The suspects have been formally charged.
Trone is being held at the Summit County Jail, while the two younger suspects are being held at the juvenile detention facility.
Akron Police Chief Brian Harding expressed gratitude for the collaboration with the task force and praised the Major Crimes Unit for their work. He hopes the arrests bring some measure of closure to the victim’s family.
