The authorities in Cherokee County have confirmed the identity of the individual who was involved in an accident with an Amazon delivery vehicle earlier this week. According to local reports, the incident occurred on Monday and involved a collision between a passenger car and a commercial truck.

Investigators from the coroner’s office state that a Lexus sedan, which was manufactured in 2008, was moving along Pacolet Highway heading westward at approximately 5:10 p.m. during the time of the event. The Amazon delivery truck tried to make a left turn into a nearby access road and subsequently collided with the Lexus.

The person killed in this fatal accident was identified as Bobby Andrew Peak, a man who was 61 years old and originally from Union. He was reported to be sitting in the passenger seat of the Lexus at the time of the collision, and there is no mention of him using a seatbelt. The medical examiner declared that the individual did not survive the impact at the location where the accident happened.

As is standard procedure, the Cherokee County Coroner’s Office is still examining all available evidence and speaking with those who might have seen the incident to determine the full circumstances.
