Bogdana Mygal dies in fatal Wadsworth car crash
Fatal Wadsworth car crash death of Bogdana Mygal
Investigators have confirmed the identity of the 33-year-old woman killed during a collision involving multiple vehicles in the Wadsworth area. Lake County authorities announced that Bogdana Mygal, a Des Plaines resident, succumbed to her injuries stemming from the incident that occurred on Saturday evening.
Further details indicate Mygal was a passenger in a Chevrolet vehicle at the time of the accident. The wreckage involved a Porsche automobile that reportedly disregarded a traffic signal before colliding with the Chevrolet, subsequently causing the other car to strike a Mercedes-Benz. Emergency responders located Mygal within the Chevrolet and transported her to a medical facility, but she later passed away.
Initial reports mistakenly listed Mygal’s address as Niles, but official records have since been corrected to reflect her correct place of residence in Des Plaines. The Lake County Sheriff’s Office received a call regarding the three-car accident near the junction of West Russell Road and Frontage Road around 10:15 p.m. on Saturday.
Law enforcement officials suspect the 58-year-old driver of the 2020 Porsche Macan was exceeding the speed limit and failed to stop properly. The driver of the Chevrolet, a 35-year-old man, and a young child inside that vehicle sustained serious injuries. The occupants of the Mercedes, a 37-year-old woman and a 40-year-old man, were also hospitalized but are expected to recover. The Porsche driver, aged 58, suffered serious injuries as well.
Preliminary findings suggest speeding and potential impairment by alcohol may have contributed to the collision. As a result of these factors, authorities are considering filing criminal charges related to the incident.
