Fatal Madison County car crash death of Florrita Harker
The Madison County authorities have officially named the individual who lost her life in a serious collision. The woman, identified as Florrita Harker, was 49 years old and originally from Idaho Falls.
Officials from the Madison County Sheriff’s Office report that law enforcement personnel arrived at the scene, where they discovered two motor vehicles submerged in a water body located on the western edge of U.S. Highway 20. One of the cars was a Chevrolet Impala, and the other was a Ford Explorer.
The exact sequence of events leading to the accident remains unknown, but it is stated that all individuals inside the vehicles managed to exit safely before the incident occurred, with the exception of Harker, who was unable to leave the car.
Emergency services and people nearby worked together to free Harker, performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation, but their attempts were unsuccessful. She was pronounced dead at the scene by medical professionals.
The Idaho State Police and the Rexburg Police Department have been involved in the ongoing investigation and continue to assist the Madison County Sheriff’s Office. A statement issued by the sheriff’s office expresses gratitude for the help provided by concerned citizens and emphasizes that no additional details are available at this time. The office also offers its deepest sympathies to the family of Harker.
Harker’s son, Michael Palacios, shared a message on behalf of the family. He expressed shock and sorrow, describing his mother as someone with a kind heart. He also mentioned the relief that his stepfather and brothers survived and asked for prayers for his family.
