Law enforcement authorities identified the individual who lost their life following a shooting incident occurring in the downtown district of Wilmington. This identification was provided by the Wilmington Police Department.
The initial dispatch for emergency services arrived shortly before the early morning hours of Sunday, July 6th. At that specific time, multiple shots were reported to have been discharged, prompting officers to proceed to the 100 block of North Front Street.
Upon their arrival at that location, responding personnel encountered a single individual suffering from gunshot wounds. Emergency medical procedures were immediately initiated by the officers present.
Further official information, dated Monday, July 7th, confirmed that Raquan Wilson, who was 34 years old, was subsequently transported to the Novant Health New Hanover Regional Medical Center. Regrettably, despite the medical intervention received, he succumbed to his injuries.
