Fatal Berlin shooting death of Sandra Marisol Fuentes Huaracha

Investigators with the Berlin Police Department were dispatched to the La Casita restaurant located on Hillside Avenue on Monday morning due to reports of gunfire. The scene was initially discovered when emergency responders arrived at the establishment.

Upon their arrival, officers discovered Sandra Marisol Fuentes Huaracha, a 25-year-old woman, deceased behind the bar area. Further examination revealed that she sustained multiple shotgun injuries, and an autopsy confirmed her death was the result of homicide.

Shortly after the initial discovery, personnel located Michael Gleason, Jr., a 50-year-old man, inside one of the restroom facilities. He was found with a fatal wound to the head caused by a shotgun, and the official determination was that his death was a suicide.

According to findings from the New Hampshire Attorney General’s office, the two individuals were known to have been in a prior romantic relationship. Ongoing analysis of evidence indicates that Gleason may have been responsible for the fatal act against Fuentes Huaracha before turning the weapon on himself. The official probe continues.
