Stewart, a 25-year-old from Partridge, and his 9-year-old daughter Kieranee E. Smith, sustained fatal injuries in the accident. Kentucky State Police Officer Shane Jacobs provided details, noting that both the driver and the front-seat passenger were not secured with seatbelts at the time of the crash. He also observed that the youngest child, situated in the rear seat, was safely positioned in a car seat. Reflecting on the scene, Jacobs emphasized the emotional impact, stating, “Arriving at a location like this is profoundly distressing, and any fatality, irrespective of age, is a significant event. Here, all the affected parties were young individuals, ranging from the 25-year-old father down to an infant.”

The accident transpired on a Sunday evening, leading to a temporary road closure in the area.
