The fatal shooting took place around 1:57 p.m. at the address 1905 Middle Fork of Maces Creek Road in Viper. Law enforcement officials informed the local news outlet that the juvenile has been formally accused of committing murder.

Cornett’s body is being prepared for transport to the state medical examiner’s office located in Frankfort, according to the sheriff’s department deputies.

Police in Perry County are currently examining the incident. They reported finding evidence of a fatal wound from a gunshot near a residence on Middle Fork Maces Creek Road in Viper.
